Dark Nights: Metal

Let me start with I have really enjoyed this event up until now. However the topic I would like to raise are the variants and books related to this event. I just saw on Bleeding cool that the Murder Machine sold out and is going to second print. I am assuming that the Teen Titans tie-in is also going to go to a second print because that book seems to be hovering around $10 on the bay. Throw in the fact that you have the Del Otto and Mattina variants, mentioned in the article on this site today, that seem to be red hot, at least the virgin covers. Going back even further if you look at the Aspen/Turner variant that has a member of the trinity on each book, which I think are all sold out except for Wonder Woman.

My point is there seem to be a lot of books for this event that are hot, speculation wise. My questions to the community are why does this event seem to be popping out so many hot books? Is it the writer, the covers, the first appearances or a combination of the 3? Also, do you guys think that any of these other one shots or tie ins are going to be worth anything long term? Do you think any of the books coming out are going to have potential or was it just a shiny new toy that everyone is going to be bored with in a month?

To be honest I thought The Red Death was going to be the hot book, behind The Batman Who Laughs when that comes out or the Mattina variant. I wish I bought a full set of the Mattina variants instead of just the color cheap one. That cover is amazing and I think that The Batman Who Laughs is going to be the character that has some legs.

Please let me know what you guys think, especially if you think I am nuts and these are all worthless specs. Thanks Brochachos

The way I see it, I think it's DC version of Venomverse. They're getting into this mash-up game that Marvel has done for a long time. If any of the characters take off like maybe Batman who laughs, then they got themselves something like Weapon H on their hands.

Total epicness! I really like it.
Hey, what do you know about payday loan regulations? Same here. All I know is that Aussies are good at using short-term financing solutions. Who would have thought?

One more thing I don't like about this comics is the lettering chosen for "The one who Laughs" The size, color, and font style is not only annoying but I cannot F%@# understand shit. In addition that they want to fit a lot of taking in one dialog that I need a goddamned MAGNIFIER to read it!!!
