For anyone that has had their fair share of getting books pressed I was wondering if anyone can shed some light on this one. I've decided to crack some of my more valuable silver age CGC books and get them pressed/cleaned and re-submitted back to CGC. I've seen and heard some success stories of results ending up with grade bumps so figure there's no harm in testing my own luck. Heck, even a .5 increase on a book or 2 makes it worthwhile for me.
But what I'm most curious about is if CGC will press yellow label books specifically or will they avoid it? Do they consider just pressing/cleaning carefully around a signature (I have only have one signature on the cover and it's not that big)? If the pressing procedure safe enough to preserve a marker signature? Or do they avoid pressing/cleaning any yellow label books completely?
Any idea?
