Amazing Spider-Man #12

So up until a few days ago, no one cared about this book. But now with the rumors that Leopardon may be appearing in the next Into the Spider-verse animated movie, this book is seeing some heat.

Outside of the 1st appearance of Silk in issue #4, this 3rd volume of ASM is just filling back issue bins. Many shops clear this type of overstock in their dollar bins so keep your eyes open for the regular cover.

There are 4 covers of this issue including 3 different incentive covers. You probably won’t find those in dollar bins, but I figured it was worth mentioning.

Recent Sales Data:

Earth X

So, this January Marvel is planning a return to the Earth X universe so you can expect some renewed interest in some of these titles.

This was a trilogy from Jim Krueger and Alex Ross that spanned Earth X, Universe X, and Paradise X. The new series entitled Marvel X, will be a prequel to that trilogy.

Now I come across these books all the time in dollar bins so now might be a good time to pick some of them up. Earth X was a 12-issue series but there was also a #0, a special X issue, and a Wizard ½ edition. Universe and Paradise were also 12-issue runs with a #0 and #X for each as well.

Recent Sales Data:

CGC 9.8 #1 Census – 12
CGC 9.8 #1 – $49.95 on 5/24/19
Raw #1 – $3.90 on 10/20
Raw set #0-12 + X – $40.00 on 10/22

Smart to mention all the covers for ASM. The Dell’Otto has already disappeared everywhere. I think that Porker cover is creepy so I now I need it.

Yeah I remember the Porker cover got a bit of heat with the first Spider-verse movie as there aren’t a lot of good Peter Porker Variants to be had.

I think the “In” cover is really cool looking too.

That is a nice cover with the 2 color scheme. I believe that was another incentive to promote the National Championship game that year. Because why not cross-promote comics with the NCAA national Championship?

A few other titles had them as well. I think I recall the Hulk one being pretty nice in Purple/Green. And I believe they may have been 1:10 incentives so there are probably a lot out there so you may find them pretty cheap as a lot of dealers may not know what they are and may treat them as a “B” cover and toss it in a cheap dollar bin to clear the back stock.
