New Week, New Covers!!

WEIRD TALES OF THE FUTURE #7

Bernard Baly at his finest.  Interesting to look back a few years, in 2016 I featured this book in a previous CC, at the time there were copies around but they were expensive for the time with low grade copies bringing in several hundred bucks.   Now the same low grade will cost you closer if not over a grand.

For those Golden Age classic fans, this run also features a couple outstanding covers by Basil Wolverton.

40 slabbed copies opposed to the 20 examples in 2016.  5.06 is the new average grade with a pair of 9.4s and a whopping six 2.5s take the top and bottom of the scale.  I honestly wonder how many of the 20 “new” copies to hit the census were crack press resubs…

Western Bandit Trails #3

A great Matt Baker cover and one of the “affordable” Baker covers left out there.  This short run is littered with Baker covers.  A great starter run for newer collector's and seasoned pros to chase!

8 copies on the CGC census, all are Univeral, average grade is 6.06 with a 9.0 and a 4.0 representing the high and low examples.
