#CBISBOLO List For 9/18/19

What Is The #CBSIBOLO List?

The Bolo List was created, initially, as an Instagram exclusive piece of content I dubbed comics cliff notes. A cheat sheet of sorts, the purpose of the Bolo list is to give CBSI Nation the most up to date information as LCS doors open on NCBD.

The Bolo list is not a list of books you should buy or books that will rise in value.  It's simply a reporting of what we are seeing in social media response and chatter, talk within our community, initial Ebay sales, as well as communication with retailers and posted online spoilers.

Similarly,  every 1st appearance in a given week may not be covered. We only list first appearances that are confirmed first hand or by multiple reputable sources PRIOR to NCBD. No delentiation will be made for full vs. Cameo Appearance as it is for the market to decide and that can not be done until after the books have hit on release day.

The Bolo List is ⅓ of CBSI's NCBD attack with Simpleman's Weekly Picks and The Wed One. I am very happy to be bringing the Bolo List to ComicBookInvest.Com and all our readers. Be sure to follow us on IG (@comicbookinvestcbsi) for other Exclusive CBSI BOLO content.

“What if’s” = never happened in marvel universe. No first appearances no spec value.

I would tend to agree with you on principle but What if? #10 with Jane Foster certainly bucked that trend. I am not saying there is value here either. Just pointing out some appearances of Hulk and venom together in many forms.

I can’t tell if you are being sarcastic or not. If not, please direct your attention to “What If” #10. 🙂

Spider-Man #1 long term hold? 🤔 hmm doesn’t really add up. Other than ASM #1, which Spider-Man #1 has warranted a long term hold???

Yes AJ. It’s my long term hold of the week. No other Spider Man #1 is a relevant comparison, although Mcfarlanes is Iconic and Spider Men II #1 has a hot 1st app . I could say this one has a first appearance of a new villain, the return of a character, major reader Buzz with high reviews, tons of marvel marketing behind it, a hollywood director writing it etc. …… or I could just say tune in tomorrow at 9pm for the Bolo Show to here my explain for MY long term hold like every other week 😉.

Over printer. Villains, for the majority don’t have great staying power. A handful of actors and directors have wrote comic books that I wouldn’t deem “long term holds”.

But maybe I will tune it…who knows, maybe I can be persuaded.

I loved this Spider-Man: starts of with action, a shock death, a time jump, a twist… classic Abrams! I really enjoyed the art, too–very cinematic! It may be over printed, but I imagine it’s way less than McFarlane’s SPIDERMAN #1 (which also had multiple cover variations). The only correlation I can think of is when Kevin Smith did DAREDEVIL or GREEN ARROW, but with a better story (sorry, Mr. Smith)! 😁
