Dollar Bin Digging 51

Black Knight #1#5

With the casting of Kit Harrington as Dane Whitman, Black Knight books are moving. That said, this series from 2015 can still be found in dollar bins and is worth picking up.

This was meant to be an ongoing series, but unfortunately Marvel has no patience and cut it off at 5 issues.

So, pick these up for the sweet Tedesco covers alone. There are also incentive variants for the first 3 issues, but you won’t find those in bins. That said, #5 has a nice Tedesco B cover.

But who knows where they’ll take the Black Knight after The Eternals, so Weirdworld may be as good a place as any? Inside the Quantum Realm perhaps?

Recent Sales Data:

Issue #1 – $3.74 on 8/25/19

Full #1-5 set – $19.99 on 8/24/19

Marvel 25th Anniversary Frame Covers

Some of these books you will not find in Dollar Bins. Particularly the Star Comics issues like Ewoks, Care Bears, and Heathcliff.

But you can still find plenty of these other Marvel 25th Anniversary Frame books in bins. There are 29 covers in this set and there are lots of set collectors for these covers. I’m still working on my own set.

Just keep your eyes peeled and grab ones you like. Up until recently, a book like Cap 323 1st John Walker could’ve been found. Unfortunately, that isn’t the case anymore.

Recent Sales Data:

Avengers #273 – $8.99 on 8/25/19

Care Bears #7 – $38.00 on 7/31/19

Captain America #323 – $44.97 on 8/28/19

Lot of 22 – $56.77 on 7/18/19

Don't Feel Like Digging?

So until next time, while you are out there digging, remember…

Y’know, initially I was excited for the Anniversary borders they were doing this year, but honestly, I haven’t picked up a single one. They just don’t have the heart, to me, that the original Anniversary covers had…which I still love.

I agree. I felt the same way about the new ones. That said I tried to get the Spidey and the Venom this past week, but came up empty. I kinda liked those 2. I saw some others on the shelf but passed.

I won’t pay over cover for them because I don’t see them having legs. Though that can be said for most of the variants made these days. Why are they still doing action figure covers? But who knows, I could be wrong.

But I agree that there is no heart to the new ones. You sum it up perfectly. The new ones just feel so generic and uninspired.
