COVER TUNES SPECIAL INTERVIEW: Frank Cho
[Warning: Strong language]
Welcome everyone, to another special Cover Tunes Creator Spotlight Interview. Just this past weekend, I was fortunate enough to sit down and chat with the amazingly talented and wildly popular Frank Cho at Fanboy Expo in Knoxville, TN. Not only was Frank extremely gracious, but he was also quite generous with his time given that he had a fairly full line of fans all day. This was an incredibly enjoyable interview as Cho is very casual and relaxed to chat with and very open and honest, as well. I had a blast spending time with him and I hope you’ll all enjoy it as much as I did.
Frank Cho is top of the game when it comes to “Good Girl” art. His career has been met with censorship and controversy, but he has endured it all to become one of the most popular modern artists in comics working on titles such as Harley Quinn, Shanna the She-Devil, Liberty Meadows, Wonder Woman and his upcoming creator-owned Fight Girls (just to name a few). His style and talent are unmatched… If you don’t want to take my word for it, check out his Ballpoint Beauties, one of which is pictured below. In this very candid interview, we talk about it all. You’ll even get to see Frank draw if you’re patient enough to watch until the end.
Scroll down when you’re done for more links and info on Frank Cho. With that being said, here’s Frank Cho…

For those not already aware of Frank and his work, be sure to check out the following resources right here on CBSI:
Written by yours truly, Mike Morello. In this recent issue of Cover Tunes, I focus completely on Cho with cheap and beautiful covers from series like Liberty Meadows, Shanna the She-Devil, Hammer of the Gods, Hellboy, Footman, Ms. Marvel, Red Sonja, Fantastic Four and The New Avengers.
Compiled and maintained by Inigo Saenz, this is always an excellent resource to keep track of the works of Frank Cho (and pretty much anyone else you can think of).
An excellent 2016 Informational Article by Skot Whitman delving into the early history of Frank’s career up until just a few short years ago.
Huge thanks to Brian Wood and Simpleman’s Comics Youtube channel for helping me pull the video content together and host the video itself on Youtube.
