#CBSIBOLO List For NCBD 6/5/19

What Is The #CBSIBOLO List?

The Bolo List was created, initially, as an Instagram exclusive piece of content I dubbed comics cliff notes. A cheat sheet of sorts, the purpose of the Bolo list is to give CBSI Nation the most up to date information as LCS doors open on NCBD.

The Bolo list is not a list of books you should buy or books that will rise in value.  It's simply a reporting of what we are seeing in social media response and chatter, talk within our community, initial Ebay sales, as well as communication with retailers and posted online spoilers.

Similarly,  every 1st appearance in a given week may not be covered. We only list first appearances that are confirmed first hand or by multiple reputable sources PRIOR to NCBD. No delentiation will be made for full vs. Cameo Appearance as it is for the market to decide and that can not be done until after the books have hit on release day.

The Bolo List is ⅓ of CBSI's NCBD attack with Simpleman's Weekly Picks and Wednesday Warriors. I am very happy to be bringing the Bolo List to ComicBookInvest.Com and all our readers. Be sure to follow us on IG (@comicbookinvestcbsi) for other Exclusive CBSI BOLO content.

Back Issue Bolo’s

We have landed firmly into con season at this point which means the father of all cons, San Diego Comic Con is vastly approaching.

For new speculators, this means there are some things to BOLO for.

First, have your favorite online web stores saved.  Think back issue dealers as well as publisher web stores.  As SDCC option announcements are made, the quick will be able to secure the last cheap copies.

If you're going to the Con, keep an eye out for exclusives.  Convention Exclusive comics and especially toys can command a pretty penny on the secondary market and often times can help offset the cost of the trip to SDCC partially to entirely.

And finally, be organized.  Sounds simple but the spec game is all about timing.  Earlier we discussed the need to have your back issue site saved and ready to go upon announcement, the same goes for your own back issues.  It is a timing game, and the quickest to list post announcement will command the most premium price. Having your books organized and ready to pull upon announcement is key.

Have a happy and fruitful Con Season CBSI Nation.

Good Luck CBSI Wednesday Warriors!

Interesting that with all the buzz the first 2 issues had that I haven’t heard a peep about Agents of Atlas #3. I thought the first 2 issues were some of the worst comics I’ve read this year, so it seems like most of the talk was spec on all the first appearances and not the story. If that’s the case, it’s too bad the community hyped those books so much; it’s so frustrating when vapid writing gets rewarded.

They have the New Agents of Atlas #3 1:25 incentive mentioned in the variant buzz section. Just fyi

I think the perfect storm of FOMO and Variant chasing with a touch of first appearance hype is what rocketed that 2nd issue, where the first issue the variant is cool, tho I am not sure sustainable some of these new characters are.

I read the first two issues and it looks like the book is geared toward kids. That’s what I get with a lot of Greg Pak’s stuff. It’s not geared toward adults at all.

I agree. And it’s strange they would choose this set of characters to do that with. Kids aren’t buying that book. And up until this now Shang-Chi was in the mix with the likes of Cap’s Secret Avengers and Spiderman. Not sure why they demoted him to kid fluff.

Domino Hotshots 4 isn’t the first app of Mazarov. He’s been in the book since the first issue.
