BCW Supplies Comic Book Stor-Folio Review
This week, Mr Brian Wood from Simpleman's Comics gives us his review on the BCW Comic Book Stor-Folio
If you're a fan of comic books and frequent your local comic book store (LCS) or comic book conventions you might have trouble protecting your comic book purchases while in transit. There's always the risk of getting spine ticks, creases, and dents on your comic books when left in the open.
BCW has the perfect solution to this with their Comic Book Stor-Folio. I honestly believe it is the best $10-$20 you could invest in for protecting your comic books. I often take multiples of these to comic conventions to either protect comic books I purchase while at the convention, or for the books I'm taking with me from home to have signed, trade, or submit for grading.
The BCW Stor-Folio is a drop back portfolio box. It is an unequaled transportable comic book storage device. The Stor-Folio will hold up to 15 bagged and boarded comic books, or up to 20 loose comic books. The Stor-Folio can be shelved in a bookcase, or carried in your backpack to safely transport your comics to your favorite comic book convention. You can also store up to eight Comic Book Stor-Folios in a BCW magazine box.
Both the front and the spine features clear pockets into which a piece of artwork will fit. It also features a secure magnetic closure. It is easy to open, but will not accidentally unfasten. The outside dimensions are: 8 x 11-1/4 x 2 inches and will hold about anything up to 7-3/4 x 11. – bcwsupplies.com
The Comic Book Stor-Folio comes in their basic evergreen design, which is just plain black with a front cover and spine pocket for you to display whatever artwork or design you want to add. But, they also have licensed printed stor-folios, and other designs available for a few dollars more. The price for the licensed printed stor-folios varies depending on the license cost for BCW.
