Silver surfer vol 1 issue 4. Iconic cover with Thor and Surfer fighting on the Rainbow Bridge of Asgard.

  • passenger27

Tomb of Dracula #1 would be fangtastic. Beautiful Neil Adams art surrounded by all that gorgeous red…how could you go wrong? They had Halloween stuff out at CVS today, so why not a Halloween Shattered Variant out soon?

Wolverine 1 – Iconic cover, Iconic artist plus the single subject and simple background would look awesome as a mosaic.

  • Avatar

I think Iron Man #128 would make a great shattered cover, it would totally fit the mood of “demon in a bottle”

  • Avatar

S.H.I.E.L.D. # 4 – that classic Jim Steranko pop art masterpiece! That hypnotic b&w swirl patterns would look fantastic shattered style!

  • Batman

Fantastic Four #1. What an iconic cover! This is my grail! Growing up it’s what got me into comic books and today it would top off any other book I own!

  • Avatar

Amazing spiderman 569 adi granov variant would be awesome. it is a modern day classic

  • Avatar

Amazing Spider-Man 300 would be perfect! He’s even coming out of the page!

Infinity gauntlet 1. It has 1 of the most iconic covers of the 90s by George Perez and would look amazing I think in a shattered variant and the shatter could symbolise what thanos and the gauntlet can do with a click. Shatters the lives and civilisations of billions and trillions in the universe

    • Avatar

I was thinking of this but you beat me to it!! Honestly would work perfectly, oh and if that Venom infinity gauntlet homage was shattered too! Sort of like a mirror, the covers face to face yet one is different from the other

  • Avatar

Nothing says shattered more than a broken and grief stricken Matt Murdock hugging the gravestone of Electra. If any Marvel cover deserves the shattered treatment it’s Daredevil #182.

  • Avatar

Iron Fist #14 (first series). Great battle scene between two classic characters, but not too busy enough to look “messy” as a mosaic. Also a classic cover with the first appearance of Sabretooth.

  • Avatar

Wolverine #2 – Cover showing Wolverine vs. Silver Samurai in front of the red background would look amazing if it were to be given the shattered variant treatment.

  • Avatar

silver age amazing spider man #100 color spider man on the black and back ground with white silhouette faces would look fantastic.

  • Avatar

Soooo many deserving covers! I would go with vol 1 Fantastic Four #49!!! A good chance we see Silver Surfer and Galactus joining the Marvel Cinematic U! This book marks their very first cover appearances and what a cover it is! A totally deserving cover for the “shattered treatment”!!!

  • Avatar

Silver Surfer deserve more limelight then he gets!!! Any Silver Surfer cover would be good. More interest in Vol 3 issue 34 or 44. these issues bring back the Mad Titan to the mcu.

  • Avatar

A cover than is unique that the shattered style would enhance would be Peter Parker the Spectacular Spider-Man #101. Love this B&W classic cover and you don’t see any cover swipes of it. It would definitely stand out.

  • Avatar

Thor #337 seems like a good candidate. Beta Ray Bill Smashing The Mighty Thor logo would look awesome with the Shattered effect.

  • Avatar

Definitely Detective Comics #880. Combining the shattered glass with the bats making up Joker’s face would be insane!

  • Avatar

I have to go with the one that started my collection. X-men #1 from 1991. Not only is it an awesome cover, with the gate fold you get 4 covers for the price of 1.

  • bhavhandi

Ahhhh soo many covers to pick from!!

I would say that The Amazing Spider-Man Issue 50 (‘Spider-Man No More’) would be awesome!

It’s already got that very strong retro feel and adding the ‘shattered effect’ would take it to the next level, especially with the streams of light beams coming out of Spidey’s back and the different use/ shades of red.

  • Avatar

Silver Surfer #1 (1968)… let’s go with an all black cover and the figure in white looming in outer space… It’s out of price range for many and such an iconic comic should be available for all collectors!!!

  • Dan Piercy

Marvel Premiere 15 because Iron Fist doesn’t get enough love!

  • Avatar

Xmen 141…great cover and story arc for my best Marvel team ever!

  • Avatar

Let’s keep things in the family and stick with another classic Venom cover… ASM #316. How cool would it be if each issue of First Host had the “shattered treatment” of a classic Venom cover? It would keep consistency with the series and make them beautiful to display together. Perfect for your best Venom fan.

  • Avatar

Thanos 1 (2017 )Jeff Dekal Variant is my pick. Yes it’s new but it is unreal !!!!!!

  • Tue L

Fantastic Four #48. This book is super hot and so iconic. This will be an instant hit and I would his d them for future growth. Any FF #48 reprint goes up in value over time.

  • Avatar

AMAZING SPIDER-MAN #33. Such an iconic cover. It’s one of my all time favorites and would great tribute to Steve Ditko.

  • Avatar

Amazing Spider-Man 238 would look great. I think the image would jump off of the cover.

  • Avatar

    FF 48! Of course!

  • beta420

I’d love to see Uncanny X-Men #266. It’s the first appearance of Gambit, and one of the very first X-Men comics I bought as a kid.

  • Avatar

Giant Size X-Men #1 would look awesome shattered.

  • Avatar

There’s so many to choose, it’s so tough, is it a disqualifier to name more than one?!? If I had to pick one personally I’d say Batman 404. Frank miller. Year one. To me such an amazing cover of a punt Bruce Wayne spotlighted between his deceased parents. I think a shatters variant of that would be just awesome.

  • Avatar

Hulk 340 because it’s my favourite cover ever!

  • Avatar

Lethal Protector 2…then 3 then 4 then 5 then 6…do up the whole set! Because who doesn’t like to have the whole set of comics.

  • Avatar

DarkHawk #1 of course, all bow to the King.

  • Avatar

I was going to say Giant Size X-Men #1 because the shattered effect goes perfectly with the New X-Men team bursting out of the cover, but since that’s already been submitted, I figured to go with something else. I’d go with Avengers 100 by Barry Smith, as it features so many characters on it, and the color scheme would look great shattered

  • Punisher78

Punisher #35 or #56. I mean come on. It’s a puzzle cover & what would bring out it more than a Jigsaw cover with more puzzle action. That’s got any true Punisher fan sold. Guarantee!!!

  • Avatar

My top “Shattered” cover would be Avengers #57 with Vision front and center! it would be an amazing take on Buscema’s art!

  • Avatar

Love all the classics getting attention here but I’m gonna go modern with Thor 705 Art Germ variant. It’s a work of art and captures the character, the moment, and is breathtaking. It would look like stained glass art in this style. Too amazing.

  • Avatar

    Hulk #1, ASM #1, X-Men #1

  • Avatar

X-Men #1 – Jim Lee gatefold cover version. Been a fan of Dimasi’s work for awhile. The comic cover just pops with all sorts of color (Lee’s excellent art is a given) begging for a mosaic adaptation. However, I really picked this because I’d love to see Dimasi work on a larger piece, such as this one, in landscape form, as opposed to the traditional portrait style. It would take a bit more time and way more tiles, but I’m sure he’d pull of another great finished mosaic.

  • Avatar

John Byrne’s Fantastic Four 220 cover……………. This is actually my favorite cover of his , followed by x-men 141

  • Avatar

Amazing Spider-Man 121. Iconic cover and story. Also symbolizes how shattered Spider-Man’s life becomes after Gwen Stacy dies.

  • Avatar

I would give Wolverine 1 from the first limited series the “shattered” variant treatment. The Frank Miller cover is very iconic to me and one of my favorite stories.

  • Avatar

Power Girl 27 (final issue) It would jump off the page, but seriously, it would be cool!

  • Avatar

Easy – the most iconic Marvel cover of all time: Amazing Fantasy #15

  • Avatar

    Hulk 340 would look amazing.
    Avengers 57 would be sweet.
Fantastic four 50 would be cool also.

  • Avatar

Definetly be the 2011 issue of “Wolverine” #7. The hellish look of wolverine would no doubt be a more demonized cover with a shattered look.

  • orbetony

Let’s shatter X-Force Annual #1 of course. One of the first big Shatterstar covers for the Shattershot crossover? The stars would align!

  • Father_fanboy

I’ll pick Uncanny X-Men 136! This is the issue that shattered the X-Men as we know them, and one of Byrne’s most iconic covers (in a career full of them) that is also one of his most imitated. The shatter effect goes perfect with Cyclops (not to mention the rest of the X-Men’s) expression.

  • Avatar

I would love to see my favorite comic of all time get the shattered treatment and that comic is Marvel Spotlight #5!! I love that ghost rider is taking on a gang of thugs on the cover and he looks like he is jumping his motorcycle clear off the cover. Plus poor Johnny Blaze gets his life shattered when he makes the deal because unlike Tony Stark or Peter Parker, who can choose to hang up their costumes and try living a normal life at anytime, he is stuck with the spirit of vengeance permanently.

  • Slanthook

Any printing of Incredible Hulk 377 would look awesome with the shattered treatment.

  • Avatar

    Secret Wars (original) #10

  • Avatar

    Moon Knight #1 1980
My love of Moon Knight started with this series. And would make an awesome shattered cover. While the #1 is starting to see an uptick in value. Is another reason

  • Avatar

Going against the grain a little bit
    Hulk 377
Iconic cover with brilliant colors. Not your biggest key issue like I know a lot of the other people would go with but spectacular cover that I think would look amazing as a shattered print.

  • Avatar

DC vs Marvel #1, I know its both dc and marvel! But come on, two universes colliding with a beam splitting down the middle and corresponding characters from DC and Marvel side by side, mimicking as if it were a mirror! The whole shattered look would enhance the aesthetic of the cover and could further symbolize as if the barrier restricting these two franchises from colliding was…. you guessed it! Shattered!!

Hope this doesnt count as a disqualification, and if it does oh well, I just thought it was a cool concept as with the urge to share. 🤗

  • Avatar

    Fantastic Four #262.

The red background would look beautiful with the shattered style and Reed Richards would pop off the page. That is a book I would love to see given the “Shattered Treatment”.

  • Avatar

    Amazing Spider-Man 361.
The combination of Red / White /Blue would make that shattered look awesome.
Since Venom received the treatment, why not Carnage.

  • Avatar

For me it’s Wolverine Limited Series #1. When I first got into comics, Wolverine quickly became my favorite and this Frank Miller cover is just awesome!

  • Avatar

Incredible hulk 102. First solo smashing into the scene!

  • Avatar

    Amazing Spider-Man #569 Venom Variant
