Batman #608 Lee RRP Variant

HEAT CHECK STATUS: radioactive

Some people call this a modern day grail, and I have to agree with them 100%. It’s a super rare Jim Lee cover that kicks off a great Batman story. That checks off all the boxes right there! A 9.8 Lee SS just sold for $5,500, while a raw went for $1,500.

Spawn #185 Portacio Sketch Variant

HEAT CHECK STATUS: pepperpepperpepperpepper

Another super rare book that hit the market this week was Spawn #185. A couple of the headless variants also came to market and did quite well, but this book is the one that Spawn collectors dream about. The movie news has no doubt helped to push some of these Spawn variants to the forefront again.

Edge of Spider-verse #2 1:25 Land Variant

HEAT CHECK STATUS: pepperpepperpepperpepper

Someone once told me that no one will care about Spider-gwen in 20 years. After seeing two 9.8s sell for $2,700 and $2,500, I’m finding that hard to believe. I saw more spider-gwen cosplay than Harley Quinn cosplay at a recent con, which could be a sign of things to come.

Amazing Spider-Man #789 1:50 Ditko Variant

HEAT CHECK STATUS: pepperpepperpepperpepper

RIP Steve Ditko. One of the true legends of the comic book world!

Note: Variants appearing in the Top 10 will not appear on this list due to contractual obligations.
