1 Amazing Spider-Man #101

WRITER: Roy Thomas
ARTIST: Gil Kane
Wow, I didn't realize Jared Leto had that kind of pull, but I guess so.  The day he was announced to play Morbius in a stand-alone movie, 29 copies sold with a 9.0 selling for a record price 40% higher than the previous high.

2 Fantastic Four #48

WRITER: Stan Lee
ARTIST: Jack Kirby
I keep seeing people mention that this is the one book that they want to obtain in the next year.  What does that do to price?  Sets record highs.  A 9.2 just sold for $6200.

3 Venom (Vol. 4) #3 Jorge Molina 1:25 Variant

WRITER: Donny Cates
ARTIST: Ryan Stegman
The first of several hot books that came out this week, this one is already selling for upwards of $100.  There seem to be a lot of these out there and just remember the Venom Space Knight #11 did the same thing, and I just saw a 9.6 sell for $26…just food for thought.  Oh, the regular cover is selling well at $10-15 too.

4 Gideon Falls #1

WRITER: Jeff Lemire
ARTIST: Andrea Sorrentino
All cheap copies were snatched up after option news broke.  The regular cover is now a $20-30 book and the ComicsPro variant is $200.

5 Amazing Spider-Man (Vol. 3) #4

WRITER: Dan Slott
ARTIST: Humberto Ramos
This was going to be higher on the list, but the massive amounts of copies for sales have slowed its momentum somewhat.  Silk news caused this to skyrocket to $200 for 9.8's.  Just remember, there are 1000 9.8's out there meaning it's not a rare book.  Does that matter?

6 Moon Girl and Devil Dinosaur #32

WRITER: Brandon Montclare
ARTIST: Natacha Bustos
Another new release could not be found as of Wednesday afternoon.  $10-15 isn't bad for a bratty punk kid 1st appearance, but are these kid appearances a bit out of control at the moment?

7 Ms. Marvel (Vol. 4) #31 Stephanie Hans Variant

WRITER: G. Willow Wilson
ARTIST: Nico Leon
Pop the cover price to $5 on an already low ordered book and then add great cover art and you have a hit.  $15-20 is about what you'll pay, but Skunk Girl?  I'm waiting for Marvel to introduce Drywall Dave or Garden Gnome Gertrude any day.

8 Teen Titans Special #1

WRITER: Adam Glass
ARTIST: Robson Rocha
So DC confirmed to people that this book would be the 1st appearance of Crush, but it may only be a cameo.  Who knows anymore, see #9 below.

9 Captain Marvel ( Vol. 7) #14

WRITER: Kelly Sue DeConnick
ARTIST: Scott Hepburn
$750-800 for a 9.8??  I see a lot, but this one is a complete headscratcher.  Yes, it's a 1st cameo for Kamala, but 1st character always takes a back seat to the 1st superhero appearance, right?  And it's a cameo, see #8!

10 Razor #1

WRITER: Everette Hartsoe
ARTIST: Everette Hartsoe
1st Cyberfrog, now Razor?  I think Dawn has to be the next 90's revival, right?  Anyway, news of a Razor movie has revived interest in this hard to find first appearance.  Expect to pay $50+, if you can find one.

Young Avengers #6

WRITER: Allan Henberg
ARTIST: Jim Cheung
The 1st appearance of Cassie Lang as Stature is following the recent factual heating up trend of 1st appearances of famous characters' offspring.

Captain America Comics #1

WRITER: Jack Kirby
ARTIST: Jack Kirby
There is nothing to say about this book that hasn't been said before.  I will say that these are the sales to look at when you look at the state of the industry as a whole.  In 2014, a 6.5 sold for $107k.  A 6.5 just sold for $175k.  Yeah, I'd say the market is healthy at the moment.
