Week 19

This week I thought it might be nice to feature some Star Wars related images since… well in all honesty it seemed like it would be easy. There's so much Star Wars fan art out there it's ridiculous. Which does create a bit of a problem since there's so much to sift through.

First up is this Darth Maul piece by artist AndyFairhurst. I'll admit, profile shot of characters rarely get my attention. This was a slightly different look for Maul which is probably why it caught my eye. He looks more center/focused or not as savage I guess. It's an interesting take on the Sith that I really hadn't thought of before. He's still looks intimidating but not as brutish.

The second image this week is of Ashoka Tano. Illustrated by turkish artist Kerem Beyit.  I'll be honest, when the Clone wars cartoon first started Ashoka was the worst character since Jar Jar. At some point, maybe it was mid way through season 3 or 4. She stopping being so annoying.

I thought it was pretty clever how she was written out of Clone Wars at the end then reintroduced in Rebels… even though it seemed like it was only for a minute.

Finally this week we have this Boba Fett and Bossk Bounty Hunter image by Ken Taylor. Ken is a poster artist and illustrator out of Australia. These two images are part of a set of images of the bounty hunters, so there's others like IG-88, 4-LOM and Zuckuss that i've seen floating around online… I'm pretty sure there's one of each. The Bounty Hunter's in Empire Strikes back were the best things about the movie to me as a kid. Considering how awesome that movie is, that's saying a lot.

So, this was fun, I'll probably do another Star Wars centric instalment in May.

Till Next Week!
