New Week, New Covers!!

ADVENTURES INTO DARKNESS #8

Long time PCH fans are quite familiar with this cover by Rocco “Rocke” Mastroserio and what a cover it is.  The shot of the gravestones in the background paired with the look of intent on the faces of the monsters coming for the grave keeper put this comic onto many “must have lists”.  Most folks who do not have this on their own list either have it, or did not know it existed…  The 4.0 copy ended recently for alittle over 1500.00.

4 copies on the CGC census, all are Universal, though the top grade here is a lowly 6.0 with a 5.0, 4.0 and a 3.5 filling out the rest.

SHELF DATE of February 1953, Standard Comics

Cindy #37

Oddly enough, this comic resided in the land of the unknown until about a decade ago when it caught fire.  This is a classic case of a comic that most people just did not know about.  Yet a few people wanting it, turns into a bunch of folks chasing it, turns into what is quite possibly the holy grail of Good Girl covers in the comic world.

14 Slabbed copies on the CGC census, though the average is a staggering 4.46.  A single 7.0 copy owns top graded rights here, while a .5 resides at the bottom(presumably incomplete) with a 2.5 as the next lowest.

SHELF DATE of November 1949, Timely Comics

As always, thanks for looking, folks!
