Amazing Spider-man #36 Newsstand Variant

HEAT CHECK STATUS: radioactive

We must never forget what happened on 9/11, even though hurricane Irma has pretty much dominated the news coverage in America.

Rick and Morty #1 ECCC Gorman Variant

HEAT CHECK STATUS: pepperpepperpepperpepper

Is this the next Rick and Morty variant to go ballistic? This is such a great cover, with Rick and Morty balling with the sparkling cider in the club, making it rain.

Seven to Eternity #9 Fan Expo Opena Variant

HEAT CHECK STATUS: pepperpepperpepperpepper

Image swore off variants, and now they are becoming ultra sneaky with them. This variant appeared at Fan Expo unannounced with a print run of 400 copies. And you thought S2E was dead!

Robotech #1 SDCC Variant

HEAT CHECK STATUS: pepperpepperpepperpepper

Robotech kinda did nothing when it came out, and now a little over a month later this book has started to dry up and prices have more than doubled.

Rose #6 Finch Variant

Drops this week!

Not much to say here…

Note: Variants appearing in the Top 10 will not appear on this list due to contractual obligations.

  • The Seven to Eternity cover is great. That book is nothing without Opena. However, whomever is coloring that book, specifically that cover, is the true champ in my book. Colorists get overlooked far too often.

  • I like the Bridge City Rick and Morty #1. If you look at all the covers for #1 this is the only cover that is 1st print that contains 1st cover appearances for Rick, Morty, with Beth, Jerry, and Summer. It also has Mr. Meeseeks on the cover. Outside of later printings for some of the early books this is the only full family cover until later in the series with some incentive variant b covers for #12 and #25. We don’t get a regular cover 1st print family cover until issue #27. Just something to keep in mind when trying to differentiate between which cover to get.

  • Sorry, but that hideous barcode mother ASM “newsstand variant” (that’s not a thing by the way), simply ruins that cover and defeats the purpose of its design and intent.

Love that seven to eternity cover though. Opena really brings it, and agree with the comment above, the colorist on it did an inxriedble job as well.
