The Wednesday One

Fun week, with plenty coming out to appease both readers and variant collectors. Some of these I will miss as I am nowhere near a comic shop at the moment, but if that’s the price of holidays, I will gladly pay it!

Dark Nights: Metal #1

Metal is here and I think we are all hoping for the best. Decided to feature the standard cover but there are a bunch of Midnight Release variants and quite a few store exclusives.

Sandman Special

I will support anything that’s a Kirby project, but this one in particular has a Paul Pope cover and I am guessing that like all the DC specials it will be underordered.

Superman #29

Normally I would be talking about the Jorge Jimenez variant, but covers with superheroes wearing any ring tend to be sought after in the long run.

Spider-Men II #2 Gabriele Dell’Otto 1:25 Variant

Spider-Man and Dell’Otto go back at it and this time it’s all about the drama. Great cover, lots of copies, … Don’t pay too much!

Totally Awesome Hulk #22

Whats-his-name officially debuts here, so this will disappear from the shelves faster than you can say Weapon Alfalfa.

Secret Weapons #3 David Mack 1:50 Variant

I know I don’t reply to many comments to this article, but I read all of them … and when AC says we all need to check this series out, he might be on to something. After reading the first couple of issues, I want to see where this is going.

Sheena #0 J. Scott Campbell 1:100 Sneak Peek Variant

Why pay more for a piece of #1’s cover that will be complete and way cheaper? We’re all insane, that’s why!

Batwoman #6 Michael Cho Variant

Considering that some of these B covers are not ordered much, I thought I would throw this one in the ring. Michael Cho’s pieces are always awesome.

Generations: Wolverine & All-New Wolverine Alex Ross 1:50 Variant

I think these are going to do well in the long run, but keep in mind that these comics are being ordered pretty heavily.

Divinity #0 Peter Bagge 1:10 Variant

As I say every time I get a chance, I love it when indie artist do superheroes and that combination doesn’t get any weirder than Peter Bagge doing Divinity. Fun cover!

That’s it for this week. What would you buy? There can be only one!
