Celebrate the 4th of July! Buy European!!!

Hey guys! Happy 4th to all of our American readers (and a belated happy Canada day to all those up north)!!! While you guys celebrate, European comic publishers are busy trying to come up with a few nice covers to take some more of your money with.

Nothing Earth-shattering here, but since a couple of things happened more or less at the same time, I thought it would be nice to point them out.

To start with, last weekend the Stuttgart Comic Con took place where Panini Germany decided to give away 50K comics to celebrate their 20th Anniversary. As it happens in German conventions there were loads of Con variants, most of them re-using US covers. We are here to talk about those which didn't:

Batman #4

Eddy Barrows

Deadpool: Back in Black

David Lopez

Harley Quinn #2

Tom Bancroft

Marvel Kids: Spidey

Tom Bancroft

The Spidey came out last month, but it makes for a nice pair with the Harley Quinn so I thought I would include it.

Meanwhile, in France, Panini is not happy with putting out 20 new covers this year (parts one and two here, part three coming when the last couple of covers are announced) so this coming weekend they are putting out yet another variant for Japan Expo (dedicated to mostly manga and all things Japanese, videogames and a bit of comics). This time it's a Spider-Man cover by One Punch Man‘s Yusuke Murata, and is pretty awesome, if you ask me. Here are the front and back covers:

So there you have it, a few cool covers to either hunt or ignore. I will only say I pity the fool who gets in my way as I hunt for that Spider-Man!!!

Edited to add: As Dwojo20 mentions below, the Spider-Man art was used for Spider-Island (Secret Wars) #3 and Amazing Spider-Man: Renew Your Vows #4 as manga variants, so they're not new pieces created for the French Edition. Still looks awesome though.
