The Wednesday One

Feeling really sick today, but that’s fair enough, because unless you’re going for the Spawn Month set (The Few #5, God Country #5, Grrl Scouts: Magic Socks #1, Horizon #11 & Rose #2 are all out today), I think this will probably be the lightest week in a while.

Spawn #1 Director’s Cut

The Spawn celebration continues, and while Ashley Wood and Clayton Crain swipe Spawn #1, Todd swipes Ultimate Spider-Man #1 because he’s probably sick of Marvel making a living of their tributes to all his covers.

Flash #22 Lenticular Cover

Not a lot of information about Watchmen, but that’s Geoff Johns’ story to tell. At least the DC PR assured us that there’s something planned and really it’s coming soon.

Red Sonja #5

Another beauty by Ben Caldwell, who, as I will tell anyone who’s even pretending to be listening, is becoming one of my favorite artists really quickly.

Britannia: We who are about to Die #2 Dave Johnson 1:50 Variant

Same thing I said about the #1 variant … If you can get this for cheap, chances are you will be able to make a bit of money this week. Not sure it’s a long hold.

Dead Inside #5

Last issue of the series. If you haven’t been reading this, shame on you. Great story, awesome atmospheric art and this last issue features another homerun of a Dave Johnson cover.

Deadpool: Bad Blood OGN

It’s Rob Liefeld. It’s Deadpool. It’s written by Chad Bowers and Chris Simms. Would look like a hit if it weren’t for the fact that it’s a HC, but at least it looks like a bit of fun waiting to happen.

Street Fighter vs Darkstalkers #1 Artgerm 1:25 Variant

A bit too Capcomy for my taste, but it’s Artgerm doing what will probably end up being a very limited print run cover, so look out for this one.

Batman #23

There have been quite a few Batman / Swamp Thing team-ups, the best one probably being the one scripted by Alan Moore, but they are always interesting. Tom King will probably make this worth it your time.

That’s it for this week. What would you buy? There can be only one!
