The Incentivey One
Good week if you like good books (personally can’t wait to read Superman, Super Sons, Ether or Dead Inside), but nothing about them seems to be going to make a lot of noise in the aftermarket, so let’s take a look at some that have a chance:
|If you haven’t jumped on this book, you get another chance this week. We get a 3rd printing for #1, a 2nd one for #2 plus the all-new #3. The question remains: will this be able to maintain the heat as we get closer to the end of the series?
|Monsters Unleashed #5 1:25 Variant
A bit disappointed in this series, as it seems its only purpose was to introduce a kid who can order monsters around … Might as well have called it MarvelMon. In any case, this is his first full cover so if the idea ends up working …
|Venom #5 Clayton Crain 1:100 Variant
Marvel are supporting this series with some crazy covers. A 1:100 on a fifth issue of a series that’s not setting the world on fire sounds like they are just trying to get people hooked until Brock arrives.
|Soulfire #1 Michael Turner 1:24 Variant
Michael Turner’s art back where it belongs.
|Punisher #10 Joe Jusko Variant
This should have come out last month, so make sure you don’t miss it. The Punisher is one of those characters that look really good when done by Jusko.
Dynamite JSC Incentive Attack
Neither of these looks like a full cover, but even though they are incentives, they will still be cheaper than getting a sketch from Campbell. Strictly for completists!
|Red Sonja #3 JSC 1:40 Incentive Virgin Variant
||Vampirella #1 JSC 1:50 Incentive Virgin Variant
Just two this week and the one to look out for is AMS as it’s oversized (and accordingly overpriced) so it probably wasn’t ordered very aggressively.
Swipe of the Week
That’s it for this week. What would you buy? There can be only one!
