The Dell’Otto vs Takeda One

wednesday

One book to rule the week

If you could only choose one comic book to buy from all the new comics being released this Wednesday, what would it be?

We ask the staff here at ComicBookInvest.Com the same question and their answers are sometimes surprising. Made up of a wide range of comic book speculators, enthusiasts, and ne’er-do-wells, the staff prides itself on being able to identify the worthy from the unworthy each Wednesday.

Here's what they had to say this week:

Amazing Spider-Man #24 Dell'Otto 1:25 Variant Inhumans vs X-Men #5 Dell'Otto 1:50 Variant
The days of Dell'Otto at cover price are over, brothers and sisters! Sincerely doubt either of these will set the market on fire or will be insanely difficult to come across, but for all you Dell'Otto fans out there the game's afoot!
The Old Guard #1 1:Store Variant

New Rucka title! One per store variant! Excitement! Or not! Greg Rucka's not my cup of tea but his titles do well and with just the one variant, this might be a good pick-up.

Sun Bakery #1

We mentioned this when it was originally published so we're happy to see it graduate to Image Comics. Congratulations to Corey Lewis and here's hoping he gets even more exposure.

Monstress #10 Image 25th Anniversary Variant The Power of the Dark Crystal #1 Sana Takeda Subscription Cover
Sana Takeda has not one but two variants coming out this week (so that's 3 covers counting with the Monstress #10 regular cover). That Spawn homage is going to disappear from the shelves, so if you make eye contact don't even blink. The Dark Crystal sequel has a Jae Lee 1:50 Virgin variant too, but the Takeda Sub Cover should be easy to find.
Mighty Captain Marvel #2 Jusko Variant Spider-Gwen #17 Jusko Variant
Some of these Jusko variants have been difficult to find and it stands to reason that these two might join them.
Elektra #1 Sienkiewicz 1:50 Variant

This issue has a lot of wonderful covers (still weird to say that about an issue), but given Sienkiewicz's history with Elektra and the higher-ratio, this will be the winner.

Justice League of America #1

Lobo and Batman are the main reasons I am excited about this, but I hope they give Lobo a better excuse to stay in the team. Cautiously optimistic after the Rebirth one-shot!

Heathen #1

A Kickstarter success story, issues 1-4 were originally published thanks to a crowd-funding campaign and issues 5-8 are on the way after a second successful campaign. Get on the Heathen train if you dig vikings!

Cars #1

If you've got a kid in your life, I don't need to tell you that Cars is like kid crack. Buy these to give away to your kids or nieces and nephews.

Taskmaster Cover of the Week

That's it for this week. What would you buy? There can be only one!
