So for this MLK day, instead of the usual lay out, I am going to spotlight some of the art of Matt Baker.

Baker was the first African American Comic Book Artist.  Born Clarence Matthew Baker on December 10, 1921, and passing at the age of 37 in 1958.  Though passing young, Baker still left the comic community with countless classic covers that have just recently started to really appreciate.  Best known for his female covers, there are also a handful of non headlight covers(see what I did there?)

PHANTOM LADY #17, 1948

SEVEN SEAS COMICS #4, 1946

Fightin' Marines #15, 1951

CRIME REPORTER #2, 1948

CRIME REPORTER #3, 1948

As always, thanks for looking, folks!
