Vintage Top 5 for 9/28/16
NOT MUCH IN THE WAY OF NEWS THIS WEEK SO WE WILL TAKE A LOOK AT SOME RECENT AUCTION RESULTS
Detective Comics #69
No one can deny this is a great cover. But I am not sure I could ever justify spending over 3 grand on a low grade copy.
Strong prices being realized this week for low to mid grade examples of this book.
Adventure Comics #247
This book was long theorized to be one of the few DC Keys left to take off. Well, I think that train has finally left the station. While one could secure a VG or so copy for around a grand last summer, complete POOR copies are fetching over 500.00 these days.
Amazing Spider-Man #129
A handful of these went off this week and while prices in the higher grades were definitely strong. The low grade copies were ending high. 500 for a 5.0??? 650 for a 7? When did this become realized prices and not out of this world asking prices?
Archie Comics #50
Classic GG Headlight cover. Love seeing this book hit an online auction. Always a tremendous amount of interest, healthy price and plenty of bidders.
STRANGE TALES #110
Someone help me here, is this book’s average dropping in price? Even so close to the release of the movie? I am a strong believer in this book and I really think it’s one of the toughest Marvels to track down and secure. That is not the scene right now I guess, are folks all dumping at the same time?
