Venom #13 1:100 Simonson Sketch variant

HEAT CHECK STATUS: pepperpepperpepper

Venom team up with X-23, Ghost Rider and Red Hulk. Sounds better than any Fantastic Four movie that Fox could ever produce. X-23 is still being rumored for a movie, so any variant cover that she is on may rise.

Captain America Living Legend #2 1:50 Brereton Variant

HEAT CHECK STATUS: pepperpepperpepper

What an awesome swipe from the EC pre-code horror days! Very hard to find as this series only sold 25K, meaning the variant has around 500 copies.

Amazing Spider-Man #606 Long Beach Partial Sketch Variant

Amazing Spider-man #606 Campbell Partial Sketch Variant

HEAT CHECK STATUS: pepperpepperpepper

I doubt this will ever be as popular as the Psylocke or Black Panther partial sketch covers, but this book is definitely gaining steam. Be careful when buying, as there was also the Long Beach Comic Con version that has the logo on the bottom left hand corner.

Amazing Spider-man #18 La Mole Campbell Variant

Bonus Book!

I hate foreign variants that are the exact same covers as the American counterparts, but this one might be cool for the Campbell fans.

Note: Variants appearing in the Top 10 will not appear on this list due to contractual obligations.

I don’t hate the foreign variants because they save me money ? and we buy the variants for the cover, not what’s inside. The Mole Mexican ones are the place to go, they always deliver.

I love foreign variants, because honestly, id rather pay $100 for an awesome iconic J scott cover than 900+ for the US version – German and Mexican variants have been hitting it out of the park recently for me just so good

Nice list Keith! Been looking for that Cap for a long time. EC covers were great. Love it!

I love the foreign variants in theory. It’s possible they could have smaller print runs than the originals. Unfortunately I have heard some sketchy rumors about the Mole variant print runs. I think the high availability on these “limited variants” are what seems to be keeping prices low. In any case, it is nice to find affordable copies of some books that have seem to have hit their ceiling. I have no reason to spend 1k on a Hughes Harley variant for future investment. I don’t see it going any higher. The cover is great and a Mexican copy is just fine for $20-$30. Who knows, there may be room for growth there.
