Just the 4th Superman cover and one of the top Golden Age books ever printed. Soaring to a cool 60K with time left in a specialty auction has this “scarcely seen on the market” comic tops this week’s list.
Detective Comics #33
Another smokin hot GA comic, featuring the origin of batman, not to mention bats toting a gun and holster on the cover.
Amazing Fantasy #15
I remember running into this before when I was making this weekly list. AF 15 is just a juggernaut of a book that redefines the ceiling for low grade silver each time it comes to market.
Pep Comics #22
Still garnering a lot of attention though the offered example in auction is a heavily restored 5.5. Folks just want to own a copy of this book, and when an affordable one comes to auction, we see some real action.
Amazing Spider-Man #129
Not that this book needed any more of a reason, but a freshly slabbed CGC 9.8 just hit the market and seems to be chugging right along as bidding passed the 7K mark.
Pep Comics #34
Alright, this is a bit random, but this book is seldomly seen and boasts one of the greatest WWII covers in my opinion at least. A ,mid grade copy is ending shortly, I will be watching closely.
