Jay-Z: The Black Album

Jay-Z: The Black Album

I’m probably going to shock and even anger a lot of people with this statement but I do not like Jay-Z’s music. I don’t understand why people find him to be such an incredible emcee but to each his own. Cool swipe though.

Kid Cudi: Man on the Moon II The Legend of Mr. Rager

Never heard of Kid Cudi or this album but people were asking for this swipe yesterday at my LCS.

GZA: Liquid Swords

GZA: Liquid Swords

Another incredible spin-off by one of Wu-Tang’s bevy of talented emcees. I still listen to this album to this day. Its incredible that all these guys grew up in the same area together.

Raekwon: Only Built 4 Cuban Linx

Awesome swipe…I personally don’t like the idea of the new Hulk but I’ll give this issue a chance and see what its like.

The “Wade” in neon is a nice touch…

Lil Wayne: Tha Carter IV

Lil Wayne: Tha Carter IV

The Lil Wayne cover is hilarious…I don’t know his music but he gets respect for coming up with such a clever album cover!

Big Pun: Capital Punishment

Big Pun: Capital Punishment

I still don’t understand how Spider-Woman is going to fight crime preggers but what do I know?

I love this series of hip-hop variant articles. Will they amount to squat? Probably not, but they are fun to look at. Kid Cudi is pretty good man (well, at least I like him). Listen to “Soundtrack to My Life”.

Yeah, that original liquid swords album cover was done by Denis Cowan…Milestone media/Static shock/Icon artist.
