The Day After Wednesday for 10/22/15

Want to know what yesterday’s books are already heating up and which ones are cooling? Here’s a “Day After” list that we hope will help! This isn’t a reflection on the quality, collectability or long term potential of recently released books. This is based on today’s market price for books that came out yesterday, Wednesday 10/21/15.  They could still be at your shop.

TITANS HUNT #1 JIM LEE 1:25 VARIANT – This has been slowly climbing since yesterday. It’s currently selling for $35. If your shop has them for under $20, buy one and watch it closely.

SUNFLOWER #1 451 Press LOW PRINT RUN – It’s moving at about $20. Will it go up? Pre-We Can Never Go Home, I would have said no. But now, these smaller books can really move up in price.

BONUS – LAST WEEK’S TOP PERFORMERS (See Keith’s Variant Heat Check Article)

SPIDER-GWEN #1 BRADSHAW 1:25 VARIANT – sitting comfortably at $40. What’s not seen in the ebay sold listings is one seller who is on his last issue out of 20 sold at $50.

BACK TO THE FUTURE #1 IDW – This was easily the hottest book yesterday. So, why warm? All covers are selling for cover or just above. Unfortunately, there won’t be any long term gain with multiple copies. Buy the cover you like. However, if you want to invest (and you should), Back to the Future #1 VA Comicon FOIL variant is the one to get.

FISTFUL OF BLOOD #1 EASTMAN 1:10 VARIANT – Did anyone notice this series yesterday? The Eastman variant is selling at about $15. While that’s not considered hot….. once Eastman fans realize there’s another variant they need to find, this could see some nice bumps. This should be cover price at you LCS, which makes this a good buy.

AMAZING SPIDER-MAN #2 1:25 VARIANT – Moving just a little bit over cover.

ASTONISHING ANT-MAN #1 (all covers) – Even the variants are barely moving at cover.

COGNETIC #1 – Keep this on your radar. Boom is s a company to watch.

CROSSED DEAD OR ALIVE #1 – There’s a variant limited to 500 copies, selling for under $20

KARNAK #1 – The Forbes 1:50 variant is pretty cool, but only demanding $15.

TRANCERS #1 (even the RRP is barely selling at cover)

UNCANNY INHUMANS #1 VARIANTS – The Granov 1:25 variant was an expected hit, but the market seems to only want to pay $10, which is probably less than your LCS is selling them for. The Art Adams 1:50 is the most disappointing at $20-25. This is, again, what your LCS is probably charging.
