One Deadpool, One Thanos, and a Mockingbird on Guard for Thee
One book to rule the week
If you could only choose one comic book to buy from all the new comics being released this Wednesday, what would it be?
Last Week's One
Last week We Can Never Go Home #4 won as the must read series from Black Mask, great reviews and continues to sell in the $5-$10 range, perhaps the entire arc will do even better. With Volume 2 announced can this series continue to grow?
This Week's Contenders
Let's see what books are being talked about this week!
Mockingbird S.H.I.E.L.D. 50th Anniversary #1
For spec (very long-term spec granted) I'm going to pick up Mockingbird SHIELD 50th Anniversary #1. It's the first appearance of a new character, Red Widow, who is supposedly going to be playing a big part in the Black Widow's life. With how well some of Marvel's women characters are doing and how much Marvel is pushing them I think it's worth grabbing the first appearance of any new one.
Ok, yeah, I need the Mockingbird Agent Coulson variant because I just love his character, but these are my picks this week
I totally forgot about Mockingbird Shield 50th can't find it anywhere myself!
We Stand On Guard #3
If you are not following this you are missing a really good read. The premise is that it's about 100 years in the future and massive drought has hit America and CANADA is sitting on a huge reserve of drinking water so America invades Canada. The story is told from the prespective of the Canadian rebels that fight back. Same writer from SAGA fame. Its awesome.
Definitely looking forward to for reading.
Brian K Vaughn gives love to Canada!
The Wednesday One
Deadpool vs Thanos #1
Writer: Tim Seeley Artist: Elmo Bondoc
Cover A: Tradd Moore B: Ron Lim C: Axel Alonso D: Retailer Summit
Price A, B & C: $3.99 D: $4.99
Been on readers' radar since it was first solicited the merc with the mouth takes on Thanos.. with the fist. Speculation on the Retailer Summit Variant and only a buck more another is set for #2. Can Deadpool create another hit?
Deadpool vs Thanos Retailer Summit variant as pointed out by Keith Shimabukuro . If it's a variant, Keith is spot on.
Hastings Exclusives are usually pretty ho-hum but their cover for Deadpool vs Thanos #1 feels like a spec winner.
Hastings Variant already preselling at $16 plus shipping on feebay.
I'm a fan of when the two interact!
It might have to wait till next week, my pull list is gonna leave me with a heavy order this Wednesday
