NYX #3 (2012)

We have a new #1 this week. The Wolverine clone known as Laura Kinney is on fire right now. She is due to replace Logan as Wolverine after Secret Wars, and with this book being her 1st appearance it has skyrocketed since the announcement. She's a complex character and has a ton of potential. I still think this book is undervalued and has a ton of room to grow.

Lumberjanes #1 (2014) (BOOM! Exclusive Cover) 1 of 250

With the announcement last week from Fox about this being fast tracked to the big screen, all copies of this super limited #1 have dried up. There were only 250 copies to begin with, but they are long gone. There are a few copies on ebay with an asking price of $399 right now. Overpriced ? yes, but down the road that could be a bargain. Casting is key for the future of this book. If they get the right cast this could be a trilogy of successful movies. Good buy if you can find one.

Nonplayer #1 (2011) Cover A 1st Print

WRITER: Nate Simpson
ARTIST: Nate Simpson
This is one of the books, that people who love comics, and read them religiously will buy regardless of movie news etc. Nate Simpson and this book have a “cult” following and with the arrival of #2 a few weeks back and the positive reviews, this book has legs, and will for the foreseeable future.

Captain Marvel Vol 6 #17 (2014) Cover C 2nd Print

WRITER: Kelly Sue DeConnick
ARTIST: Filipe Andrade
It's still selling like a can of beer during prohibition, but raw copies are starting to dry up on eBay. There are tons of VF copies on there for $150. Most people who have them, are in the process of getting them graded or are hoarding them. Regardless, this is going to be a big book for years and years to come. Don't see it going down either.

We Can Never Go Home #3 (2015)

WRITER: Matthew Rosenberg & Patrick Kindlon
ARTIST: Josh Hood
Black Mask is doing a really good job of getting noticed in this day and age. “We Can Never Go Home” is one of those books that is getting positive reviews from everywhere. Jimmy Linguini mentioned last week about this book, and a few panels DC/Marvel won't be too happy about showing costumes. This book sold out and is fetching $20 a copy right now. If it goes to 2nd print, the panels will have to be changed is what I'm hearing.

All-New Marvel Now Point One #1 (2014) Cover A 1st Ptg Regular Salvador Larroca

WRITER: Al Ewing
ARTIST: Lee Garbett
1st full appearance of Kamala according to the CGC. There are TONS of these books out there right now. Hell there is a discount store (Five Below) who are selling these right now with ASM #4's and other “hot” marvel books. This is a nice book, but there are way too many out there for this to ever achieve the status CM #17 2nd print has. Don't pay more than $20 for a NM copy, because there are literally hundreds for sale.

Amazing Fantasy Vol 2 #15 (2006)

WRITER: Greg Pak
ARTIST: Takeshi Miyazawa
The Amadeus Cho being the Hulk rumors have picked up steam this week with tons of reports saying this and that. Nobody is a 100 percent sure if that is what is going to happen, but it hasn't stopped this book from nearing $50 raw. The AF #15 cover swipe is kind of cool regardless, but Marvel has plans for Amadeus. There is a reason his Mom was in A:AoU.

8 MAX: FURY ROAD – FURIOSA #1 (2015) Blank/Sketch Variant

WRITER: George Miller
ARTIST: Mark Sexton
With a rumored print run of less than 1k, an already hot title, there is no wonder why this comic made the top 10. CBSI's resident Silver Sable collector Van Denby provided the information about this book, and the 1 day window to order it from Diamond. Popular cosplay, good character, and low print run will see this burn last awhile. Everyone one that is sketched in makes the unsketched even more rare.

Star Wars #1 (2015) Luke Skywalker C2E2 RRP Variant

WRITER: John Aaron
ARTIST: John Cassaday
Still holding on, still selling for around $300, and still ultra rare. I'm very anxious to see what the prices of the 9.8 books begin to do as they are slowly being trickled on eBay. 1k for a 9.8 by summers end isn't out of the question at this point.

10 Southern Bastards #1 (2014) HeroesCon Variant

WRITER: Jason Aaron
ARTIST: Jason Latour
With news breaking last night that FX has optioned “Southern Bastards” this book dried up quickly as it is the #1 with the lowest print run. This book had some success earlier when the book first dropped, and as we've seen before, history repeats itself. Not sure about its ceiling, but FX usually gets it right, and as most SOA fans know, they can do PG-13+ pretty damn well.

Detective Comics Vol 2 #27 (2014) Fabok Variant

WRITER: Scott Snyder
ARTIST: Sean Murphy
My good buddy MD and Jon Z have been telling me a certain cloning panel from this book will make a lot more sense after Batman Annual #4. This book as a ton of clues about the current Batman/Bruce Wayne arc.

Wolverine Vol 3 #66 (2008) Incentive Michael Turner Sketch Variant Cover

WRITER: Mark Millar
ARTIST: Steve McNiven
Rumor has it the the 3rd and final installment of the Hugh Jackman  “Wolverine” saga will be adapted from the “Old Man Logan” storyline. This book is harder to find than the NY escaped convincts.
