Hard to Find Women

Hey again! This week I just wanted to touch on some of my favorite covers in female titles. Yes, I like other covers better, but these all fall into the ‘Low Print Run’ category (less than 20k). Keep in mind that other female books with print runs higher than 20k (Batgirl #13, Catwoman #51) sell extremely well, so with a little exposure, these could see some value increase.

If you have any faves with print runs under 20k, please feel free to share!

1) Birds of Prey (Vol. 3) #32. Print run: 16,397. Sells for cover. This book features Harley Quinn on the cover and the Suicide Squad. Tie-ins with low print runs tend to increase (see. CM #17, Supergirl #34, etc.)

Birds of Prey #32

Recommendation: buy

2) Catwoman (Vol. 2) #82. Print run: 17,652. Sells for $4-5. Adam Hughes cover at the end of the series. This book has the lowest print run of any Catwoman 1st print/non-variant and is actually one of my favorites in his Catwoman run.

3) Harley Quinn (Vol. 1) #36. Print run: 14,860. Sells for $5-10. The last issue in this series, #38 sells for a lot higher, but this print run is virtually the same. I think this is such an awesome cover and it shows how demented HQ is.

Recommendation: buy

4) Suicide Squad: Amanda Waller #1. Print run 16,534. Sells at cover. I agree with Trey Kenyon that this character is one of the most underrated in the DC universe. This is her only solo issue, and those eyes….

5) Zatanna #16. Print run 17,076. Sells for $15-20. This book is not a secret since it features a nice Adam Hughes cover and is the last book in the series. Not much movement possible on this book at this time. Wait for JL Dark movie.

Recommendation: hold

6) Marvel Divas #4. Print run 10,820. Sells for $4-5. I actually like the #1 JSC cover better, but that has a print run just over 20k so it doesn’t fit my self-imposed criteria. Both are good buys, however.

Marvel Divas #4

Recommendation: buy

7) Red She-Hulk #62 (Lightle Variant). Print run appx. 355. Sells for $20-30. 1:50 variant on an already low print run regular issue (17,766). There are not many of these out there.
