1Star Wars #1 (2015) Luke Skywalker C2E2 RRP Variant

$_57 WRITER: Jason Aaron
ARTIST: John Cassaday
This book came out of nowhere last week at C2E2. It was given out Saturday by Marvel to select dealers at the show. I was told yesterday the print run was 250 copies. That is pretty small considering how popular the action figure variants are right now. Boba Fett has a print run of 5k and you guys see what those are going for. What's even crazier is how few are being sold on eBay. I fully expected to see all 250 up by now, but only about a dozen have been put up. Prices are reaching $200 for the copies on there though. This could be a flash in the pants, or the variant of the summer……… 50/50

Batman Vol 2 #40 (2015) Kubert Variant (1:25)

This 1:25 variation of the hottest book so far in 2015 are starting to dry up on eBay. They have been selling consistently for over $60 all week. The cover is interesting, and it took me a few months to realize how close Kubert draws the Joker's face to Gambit's (Check UXM #266 cover if you don't believe me) Regardless until the combo comes out this is the book to have in the Batman death fiasco.

Star Wars #4 (2015) Boba Fett Variant

WRITER: Jason Aaron
ARTIST: John Cassaday
This book is still scorching hot. The only issue is there are A LOT of customers who still haven't received theirs. JTC the author and his wife are shipping the books themselves so give them a break. This book is still selling for upwards of $70 on eBay. Apparently 9.8 copies are at a premium too according to many people who have received theirs. Bottom right corner dings being the most prevalent. If you have premium copies you might want to hold on to them.

Suicide Squad Vol 1 #48 (1990)

WRITER: Geof Isherwood
ARTIST: John Ostrander
I knew this book was going to be popular after the Leto pic was revealed, what I had no idea was how fast its value would increase. There are 3 copies listed on eBay right now over $250 with 1 being over $400. Hot book indeed. Don't pay $400, but $25 in NM wouldn't be a bad investment.

5 Deathstroke Vol 1 #58 (1996)

WRITER: Marv Wolfman
ARTIST: Tom Grindberg

This book made an honorable mention a few weeks back, and since then has done nothing but get more difficult to find. It's a really cool cover that has the Joker in Deathstroke gear. Pair that with the fact that it had a super low print run and you have  gunpowder. NM issues are selling for $65 plus with a few being listed for over $100. The trend of old variants and hard to find books gaining is popularity/value is a fun one, and this fits the bill.

6 Eternal Warrior #4 (1992)

WRITER: Janet Jackson
ARTIST: Paul Autio
I still think Rai #0 long-term is the smart play regarding Bloodshot, but at the time of me writing this I am wrong. Eternal Warrior #4 is selling better and  at higher prices than Rai #0.

7 Captain Marvel Vol 6 #17 2nd Print Alphona Variant Cover

WRITER: Kelly Sue DeConnick
ARTIST:  Filipe Andrade
I personally don't ever see Kamala Khan ever being anything more than Marvel's newest “politically correct/social acceptable” trend. Thankfully for everyone that's not my job to decide. My job is to report a hot book and this is scorching hot. 9.8's are getting closer to that $300 mark with raw's topping the $100 mark in some instances. There is a debate about which is her true first appearance, but this has been the one getting the most action.

8 Silver Surfer Vol 3 #44 (1990)

WRITER: Jim Starlin

Hmmmmmm. Not sure how to say this without pissing people off. I will update this in a few days when I can think of the proper words to use.

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Vol 5 #45 (2015) Cover C Retailer Incentive Variant Cover (1:10)

WRITER: Kevin Eastman
ARTIST: Mateus Santolouco
Guess what Donatello died in #44 and this is the issue that follows the tragedy. There is something else going on, and the story follows another TMNT angle from years past. This is the start of the story-line that takes TMNT to issue #50. Throw in the fact the FCBD TMNT title has some pretty crazy stuff in it made this a quick sellout Wed. Not many stores order 10 copies of TMNT so if you found this be happy and sell it immediately.

10  Justice League Vol 2 #40  (2015) Garner Variant

WRITER: Geoff Johns
ARTIST: Phil Jiminex
DC does a good job of throwing curveballs at you in the new 52. This is the prologue to the Darkseid Wars and there are hints upcoming this book may have huge ramifications, and an impact on Batman and Superman. Did I mention there is  a “new” daughter character who wants to kill daddy aka Darkseid?. What happened with just stripping and dating a bad boy? Regardless this, and the combo whenever that comes out should be relevant all summer.

Batman #40 (2015) DC Combo Pack Polybag Variant

WRITER: Scott Snyder
ARTIST: Greg Capullo
This should be #2 again, but since it was delayed a week I decided to drop it down to honorable mention. Throw in the fact the Revolutionary War losers will not be getting ANY copies makes this the Batman #40 that will be collected years and year down the road. Pre-sales have hit $70. Don't forget, these books are hard to find in NM, due to the rub the polybag cause on the stock of the Endgame books.

Superman Vol 4 #40 (2015) Romita Jr Variant Cover (1:100)

WRITER: Geoff Johns
ARTIST: John Romita Jr
This book is selling well in the $75-100 range. Superman is testing out his new Goku'ish powers in this issue. Once he uses it, it basically turns him human. He gets drunk this issue, and shows his wang. No seriously.
