ABSOLUTELY NO MENTION OF BATMAN #40 (RIGHT!!!)

wednesday

One book to rule the week

If you could only choose one comic book to buy from all the new comics being released this Wednesday, what would it be?

We ask the staff here at ComicBookInvest.Com the same question and their answers are sometimes surprising. Made up of a wide range of comic book speculators, enthusiasts, and ne’er-do-wells, the staff prides itself on being able to identify the worthy from the unworthy each Wednesday.

Here's what they had to say this week:

Batman #40 (whole set)

Batman #40 (whole set)

Mark C: I don't think there is any question. Batman #40 is THE book you should be buying. Even if Batman isn't your thing, there is no denying that this book will explode once news really gets out. This is just the beginning.

Jeff N: Batman #40 is gonna be huge; all 3 covers. I'm most excited for the Dave Johnson Movie Poster variant cover though. Loved The Mask and Jim Carrey growing up!

Agustin S: Batman 40, finally we get to see what happens next and how it ends, we get the whole enchilada!!

Ben C: Batman 40, no question

Brian W: Batman #40 for sure! I'm liking the premise for Order of the Forge #1 by Dark Horse

Mark H: Batman #40 is definitely the ONE.

Keith SBatman #40 seems to have gone under the radar for the casual fans. Expect that to change once people start to read this on Wednesday.

Multiversity #2

Multiversity #2

Mark H: For reading: Multiversity #2, Morrison's event is everything Convergence should be and this is the final chapter.

Multiversity #2 Allred Variant

Multiversity #2 Mike Allred Variant

Inigo S: Totally agree with Mark, loving this. Will try to get the Allred variant. Cool characters and a homage to Cosmic Oddyssey #1 (these are the times we are living in, people, I couldn't possibly make this up) … I dig!

We Can Never Go Home #2

We Can Never Go Home #2

Mark H: We Can Never Go Home #2: First issue has sold me on this series, hopefully it becomes an ongoing.

JUSTICE LEAGUE #40 Alex Garner Variant

Justice League #40 Alex Garner Variant

Mark H: For the flip: Other than Batman #40 variants, I'm rolling the dice with Justice League #40 Garner Variant. Hopefully Darkseid Wars are not a bust and this new villain will be a solid addition to the Justice League.

TMNT #45

TMNT #45

Justin B: TMNT#45: I am excited about this issue, with the turtle craze from last month i decided to start reading this run and i have to say it is a really, really, fun read & plus i saw the two copies of Cover A that were on ebay yesterday sold for $22 shipped each, so it doesn't hurt to pick up a copy or two!

Pisces #1

Pisces #1

Justin W: I'll be picking up Pisces #1, Wiebe/Christmas new sci-fi horror series. Interesting concept, should be a great story. I will also picking up a couple Batman 40 and the variants that I can find.

TMNT #45 RI

TMNT #45 RI

Keith STMNT #45 RI variant will be the surprise, because most people will be grabbing batman. People were hooked by #44; if you aren't reading IDW's turtles what are you waiting for???

Mayday #1

Mayday #1

Brian WMayday #1 from Black Mask Comics. Synopsis looks like a great read “A washed-up, drug-addicted screenwriter and a transgender bartender stumble onto a Satanic cult's plan to sacrifice people all across LA (geomapped in the form of a pentagram, of course) and bring on Armageddon. As our intrepid, damaged heroes embark on a suicide mission to stop the crazy cultists, even they wonder if this is all really happening or if they're just plain crazy. Probably both. The latest project from Curt Pires (POP) sees him teaming with art sensation Chris Peterson (Grindhouse) for a story that cuts to the very center of Hollywood mythology and depravity itself.”

That's it for this week. What would you buy? There can be only one!
